Introduction to the Flotilla

Since 1939, the men and women of the United States Coast Guard      Auxiliary have volunteered their experience and equipment in support of    the Coast Guard and the recreational boating public.  District 11 Northern  region serves Northern California, Nevada and Utah.  Flotilla 53 covers the area from Suisun Bay to the western Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, as well as the inland waters of Lake Berryessa.

Our mission is to promote recreational boating safety through public education and operational support of the US Coast Guard, and to contribute to the safety and security of our citizens, ports and waterways as directed by the US Coast Guard.

Our public safety page offers information regarding boating safety classes, vessel safety checks offered by the Auxiliary, and other activities.

If  you are interested in more information about the Coast Guard Auxiliary or the flotilla, please call 707-427-8521 or check the national recruiting web site:  http://join.cgaux.org
